Weelicious Recipe...

So I found a bunch of really cool recipes at Weelicious, but I wish I had done some research before going to the supermarket. Some of the ingredients were super expensive! Almost $10 a jar! But there was no stopping me, I had to try a few of her recipes. Tonight I made Popcorn Balls. I didn't read carefully and thought this recipe called for all three butters (sunflower, almond, peanut) and so I bought all three, only to realize later that it calls for one of the three. Upset that I had all three and didn't have to use them, I just used all of them! It came out great! Soooo Goood! It was Brianlily's first time having popcorn (that stuff and kids terrifies me!), and she loved it...daddy loved them too!

~Note to self...Make sure when using popcorn, get rid of unpopped kernels before you use popcorn! Ouch!~

I love that you made them with all 3 nut butters!
I'm going to try it. Yes, rice syrup can be expensive ($5.99 at my grocery), but these recipes only use a portion of the jar. If you live near Trader Joes, their nut butters are delicious and quite inexpensive.
I'm glad you guys enjoyed them!!

I know, the healthy stuff could get expensive! Maybe not for BL but nut butters are great with apple slices. Good snack for mommy? or nut butter and mashed banana sammys or spread on her pancakes? I like using agave nectar on fruit. i'm not a fan of sour fruit so i like to sweeten berries that aren't super sweet. Or for BL a little squirt in her oatmeal? I love the weelicious site and have been following it since molly can eat solids!

It actually came out really great with all three. I was surprised that I could taste them all, not have an overpowering flavor, and I loooove the nuttiness! Thanks girls! I am absolutely looking for other things to make with everything from your recipes, it's nice having them now! lol. I'm going to try your suggestions Emily...they sound like something Brianlily will love! I used the Agave Nectar for the hot cereals I usually make instead of brown sugar and it worked really well! She did have the popcorn butter balls. I like that the "caramel" like mixture made it chewy and not so scary. It was her first time having popcorn. I don't think I'll give her any more popcorn anytime soon though, much to stressful. But daddy and I loved them so much I think we found a new healthy super yummy dessert! BTW tonight I made Weelicious Granola Balls! I added wheat germ, cranberries & raisins, and of course used both butters again! Super Super Yummy!!!
