First Easter Basket...

I couldn't wait to make my babys first Easter basket! Problem was, she can't have candy yet! So I had to find a way to make an age appropriate basket, while loads of candy practically fell off the shelves of Target! This is what I came up with:

Plush Bunny (found in the infant section upstairs. the ones I found in the seasonal section were cheapy, creepy, and the fur came out easily)
Easter book (Karen Katz, "Where Are Baby's Easter Eggs?"
New toy (Elmo bath boat)
Easter card
Elmo shaped eggs
Felt basket
Plastic grass

I love it, love it, love it! Can't wait to give it to her!

The Zoo...

Today was Brianlily's first time visiting the zoo! So amazing when animals finally caught her attention, to see her amazement..."you mean these things are real!?" I did however have the same feeling I always have with zoos, circus', and aquariums...it's just so sad! These animals locked up makes me want to free them all! I understand the educational part of it, but how much are people actually learning from their visit?I made the decision to take my daughter to all of these places and let her decide if she wants to continue, as for me I'd rather not.

PS...I really enjoyed today! And I really noticed just how big the Bronx Zoo is compared to our little Oregon Zoo!

ONE...

I can't believe Brianlily will be one soon. She's so amazing. She is taking steps on her own, attempting words, clapping, dancing, knows where her hair, tongue, nose, and toes are, and can find most of her books and toys when asked for. And 6 teeth before 11 months! I watch her with amazement...did all of this REALLY only take 10 months? I feel like I was pregnant just yesterday. I love my honey bunny more than life itself! I just really wish it didn't go by so fast.
